Ist Zeit eine Illusion? Mit dieser Frage beschäftigen sich die Performer:innen in der Performance „the half through“. Das diesjährige Thema des Projektes 3RD-SPC./RP ist „Zeitdilatation“. In der Auseinandersetzung mit den Bewegungen unter diesem Gesichtspunkt beschäftigen sich die Performer mit Fragen der Hoffnung, des Schicksals, der Akzeptanz und der Erleichterung. Es entsteht ein Vokabular der Bewunderung, durch das sich die eigene Positionierung auf dem Fußballfeld herausbildet. Die Installation von Martin Pfeifle dekonstruiert das Fußballfeld und schafft so einen eigenen Bühnenraum, der von den Performern als Ort für Suchende und Gestrandete genutzt wird. Als Möglichkeit, Körperlichkeit und Queerness zu teilen, nicht wie üblich durch einen Ball, mit dem man spielt, sondern durch Rituale von Schritten und Rhythmus. Was für eine Ausdauer und Präsenz in dieser Gemeinschaft, die alle gemeinsam erschaffen. Wie schaffe ich mir körperlich Raum? Nur durch eine Bewegung oder durch den Mund, der unsere Verletzlichkeit zeigen kann. In dieser sprachlichen Geste, wenn sie als Instrument benutzt wird, wenn alle zusammen singen „Is there anybody out there?”

Is time an illusion? The performers in the performance „the half through“, deal with this question. This year‘s theme of the project 3RD-SPC./RP is „time dilation“. In exploring the movements from this point of view, the performers deal with questions of hope, fate, acceptance and relief. A vocabulary of admiration emerges through which their own positioning on the football field is formed. Martin Pfeifle‘s installation deconstructs the football field, creating a stage space of its own that is used by the performers as a place for seekers and stranded people. As a way of sharing physicality and queerness, not as usual through a ball to play with, but through rituals of steps and rhythm. What a perseverance and presence in this community that everyone creates together. How do I create space for myself physically? Only through a movement or through the mouth, which can show our vulnerability. In this linguistic gesture, when it is used as an instrument, when everyone sings together „Is there anybody out there?” With the kind support of the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Kunststiftung NRW as well as the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the Cultural Office of the City of Kraljevica, we are gathering 20 international participants living in the EU, who will realise their projects and programmes at the two locations, the Frankopan Castle in Kraljevica from 21.07.2023 - 20.08.2023 and the Breuer Höfe area in Wuppertal from 06.10.2023 - 04.11.2023.
